Automobiles in Germany's Town Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police Report

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Authorities reported they were contacted by a resident who discovered a car in Hanau smeared with red-colored liquid

Around fifty cars have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and mailboxes were marked, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Law enforcement report they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a individual discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish liquid.

The substance had been placed in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Law enforcement then located many other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are banned in Germany under laws outlawing the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Officials state initial examinations show the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.

"There is still no clue as to its source; officials are not yet cognizant of any harm in association with the occurrence," they stated.

City officials stated they were working "to unravel the case" and have asked to the community for information.

An important political figure stated the attack rendered him speechless and required to be addressed promptly.

"This event strikes at the core of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the extremist violent incident in 2020," he posted on a platform, recalling the murder of nine victims by a gunman aiming at people of immigrant origin in five years prior.
