Social Media Reaction Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms stating that platform listings now display an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed due to the recalibration. Vinted explained the new system was more in line with other platforms. The platform has recommended to examine their items and manually change the size if necessary, which has left users frustrated. Size Classification Updates Before the change, the sizing featured numerical and alphabetical indicators, such as S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10. With some products, the measurements have been reclassified - such as a large size used to be a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. Member Stories A fashion influencer, who creates plus-size fashion videos, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," which is what Vinted now does. Stephanie Gallen, located in Scotland, said garments she listed featuring size 14 markings were displaying on the service as measurements 20-22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they may become frustrated," she stated. Required Changes Charlotte Lunn, based in Derby, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing". "For me this is particularly frustrating, as I'm chronically ill and selling on Vinted has been paramount following partial earnings loss," she explained.
